Staff Rights
SinCity Mux is a private game. In being such, it is owned and operated by the staff and not to be thought of as all-inclusive. We maintain the right to allow or disallow any player or character whom we feel is a negative presence on this game. If you have a history on this game, please leave it at the door and enjoy a fresh start.
As on most mushes, The Staff at Sin City Mux are volunteers. That means that they are not paid for this job, and do it simply because they enjoy the medium.
The Staff here at Sin City MUX have the right to:
- Treat others courteously and expect the same in return from other staff members, players and guests.
- Be treated with respect
- Enjoy their RP time as they choose, not simply as a vehicle for others' RP.
- Keep their alts to themselves.
- Spend time off duty as they choose.
In trade, Staff must also agree to the following:
- I will perform my duties to the best of my ability in a timely manner.
- I will not use my powers for Evil.
- I will not abuse my power to use flags to spy on others.
- I will not abuse my ability to access staff commands or attributes.
- When personally involved in a problem, I'll ask someone else to mediate.
- While on duty, I will help moderate one or more channels and bboards.
- I will not be set off duty for an extended period and expect to remain staff. Vacations are encouraged, but squatting idle is not.
- I will consult with other staffers as much as possible, especially regarding policy decisions and player banishment.
- I will remember that Sin City MUX is just a game, not a career or a lifestyle.
